The implementation of our programs and services are provided from the admission until termination of services due to the passing away of the clients. We are serving them in accordance to set standards by the DSWD as a duly registered, licensed and accredited institution. Client-staff ratio to caregiver and Social Worker as Case Manager are strictly followed to ensure the improvement of well-being of our clients.
1. Social Service and Case Management
We have three (3) Registered Social Worker handling cases. Lola’s folder has an update progress report and kept intact, labelled confidential in compliance to the Data Privacy Act. All information/details are recorded, neatly filed and in order.
The team, composed of social workers, caregivers and other practitioners who played an important role in the treatment/recovery of older persons are involved in planning and monitoring. In doing so, case conferences with the team are conducted.
Replacing the old pattern of the Social Case Study Report (SCSR); enhancing templates/form to make it more presentable; admission conferences through virtual meeting with the referring party before bringing the clients are done accordingly.
2. Home Life
From sunrise to sunset, we see to it that everything is done for the good of our clients. Personal hygiene, meals, monitoring of their vital signs, dispensing their daily maintenance, cleaning their wards and comfort rooms, washing their beddings and clothes, are all properly handled. Our Lolas are like queens that have many people around them taking care of all their basic needs, with no worries and anxieties in their lives. When our Lolas are sick, they enter our infirmary and are monitored 24 hours with watchers on a rotation basis.
3. Medical and Dental
One of our Resident Doctors Dr Erick T. Villano does regular checkups, most especially during lockdown. He has treated our Lolas in our clinic and visited them during his rounds. Dr Emelle P. Bascocillo and Dr Samson Bascocillo, Jr. regularly visited and checked our Lolas every last Friday of the month, and checked our medicine cabinets. Dr. Lorino Ramos performed medical missions to bring Med-tech to examine the lolas’ blood, urine and ECG. Lolas were assured that their health was properly monitored, and if necessary, brought to hospital for further medication and treatment.
4. Psychological Program
As of this program, our Lolas have done activities in our center that will help them in exercising the mind and keeping it active. To ensure that their minds work as best as they are, some of our activities are: coloring, hand exercise and identifying objects.
5. Food and Nutrition
Balanced and healthy foods are provided to the Lolas. We observe the advice of attending doctors, especially Lolas that require supervision and those who are undergoing medical treatment. However, aside from food provisions, physically-able Lolas are encouraged to do physical fitness activities like breeze walking around the vicinity, stretching and dancing every morning with the guidance of their respective caregivers.
6. Recreation
An activity that our Lolas enjoy every day is TV Viewing, and also during visits of our benefactors, we prepare a socialization activity like dancing. Part of On the Job Training are programs to socialize the Lolas with dancing.
7. Moral and Spiritual
This is the best practice that has been done from the start of this institution, until now. Our Chairman and CEO has committed to steadfastly support the programs and services rendered to our Lolas such as;
- Holy Mass every Sunday
- Extreme Unction
- Anointing of the Sick
- Bible, catechism given by the Seminarians
8. Burial and Internment
In the last part of their lives staying in the center, the program and services that they received include: burial and internment, the Holy Mass, and blessing, before they will be buried in our mausoleum.
